One last album, then I’m hanging it up. Forever. I was so done with chasing something that isn’t promised. Heartbroken because I couldn’t find the love I once had, recording my first song at 13. Now at 30, seeing life differently, of course. Once upon a time, I wanted fame for all the wrong reasons. Now I want people to remember my name. My character. The work ethic!

Thanks for reading Deeper Than Rap! Coincidentally, my middle name is Daniel… I could expound further, but I may use it later, so I’ll revisit that some other time.

As I started writing, the music became a collection of unfiltered conversations with God. He was speaking to me and through me. It was at that moment that I realized I was on an assignment. Instead of it being my last album, I decided to approach it and everything else I do from that day forward like it’s my last. I gave it everything I had. I can live with that, but I CANNOT live knowing I didn’t try. That’s how I want to be remembered. That’s what you call Legacy!

Prayers and Parables became the title of those unfiltered conversations with God.
